STORAGE:

Ideal temp: 50-55℉

Cucumbers last longer at room temperature. Stored below 50 degrees, they're prone to developing chilling injuries (soft spots and decay). If you want to enjoy a chilled cucumber, or your house is very warm, limit it to at most three days in the fridge. Keep them towards the front of the shelf, where temperatures are warmer.

Cucumbers are highly sensitive to ethylene, a natural gas that causes the certain foods to ripen very quickly. Be sure to keep your counter-cukes separate from fruit and tomatoes. Storage life: 7-14 days.
